FMT Construction Consultants Ltd is a building company working from Field Common Lane in Walton on Thames. We extend, convert, renovate and build homes for private clients across Surrey, and most of our work is within a short drive of the yard.
The company draws on more than 35 years of hands on experience in the building trade. That experience shows in the parts of a job you never see once it is finished: foundations dug to the right depth, steelwork sized by an engineer, a roof made watertight before the inside is touched.
What We Build
Much of our work adds space to a house that a family has outgrown. That means house extensions to the rear and side, loft conversions with a new staircase and en suite, and garage conversions that turn a cold store room into part of the home.
The rest improves what is already there. We take on full property renovations, kitchen refurbishment, and the structural alterations that open up a ground floor. For clients with a plot, we also build new homes from the ground up.
One Team for the Whole Job
Groundworks, brickwork, roofing, carpentry, plastering and the finishing trades are coordinated by us, so you deal with one builder from the first visit to the last coat of paint.
Planning and Building Control Handled
We check early whether your project needs planning permission, manage the application where it does, and arrange every building control inspection through to sign off.

Your home is still your home while we work on it. We keep the site clean, secure and well managed, and we keep you informed at every stage of the build.
